Their names are almost synonymous with youth hockey in Duluth’s neighborhoods; Robert and LaVerne Fryberger in the east, Rip Williams in the center and Ray Peterson in the west.

State bill would put cap on Duluth schools' long-range plan

A bill intended to stop the Duluth school district’s long-range plan in its tracks may soon prove to be little more than a speed bump.
The robber is described as black male, dark complexion, slight facial hair, mid to late 20s, approximately 5’4”-5’6”tall, 150 lbs with a medium build.

Duluth bank robber believed to be on spree

The FBI believes the man has robbed six Minnesota banks in 16 days in Duluth, Hastings, Forest Lake, St. Paul, Oakdale and, on Wednesday, Roseville.

Local law enforcement officers solve 11 burglaries in one day

Within about 24 hours, law enforcement officers from the Minnesota State Patrol, Superior Police, the Carlton County Sheriff’s Office, Fond du Lac Tribal Police and the Cloquet Police Department cleared up nearly a dozen local burglaries, many that were almost two years old.
